There are many wonderful native American books by Tomie de Paola. Go to the children's section of the library. They will be able to direct you to dozens of culturally diverse children's books. Pax- C

this may be a little older than you need, but try 'Does My Head Look Big in This?' by Randa Abdel-Fattah - it's about a muslim girl trying to decide if she's going to wear her hijab full time at school.
