Since last year when my partners Nan died I've always told him that she visits him. I said it because I really feels that she does. Last week he said to me."If she visits me then why don't I feel her?" I told him it was because she did not want to upset him. The other night he was walking up the stairs and he smelt her smell. I told him that she was telling him she was there. I'm practising to find my spirit guide how did I do this withou them?

some people have no idea what it is like to have feelings or sensations, with a strong conviction on the reallity.
They have no feelings and try to imagine they are doing it, so they accuse you of doing something bad. You should not feel bad for it if you are honest. Do not let this culpability take you because you are sensitive and will suffer of it. You have no debt to anyone so live your feelings and share them with people that will respect them. (Jesus said : do not feed pigs, as they will end up eating you !)
If you have a feeling, you have the intuitive understanding of how it works. Additionally, you will start developping the understanding that you cannot decide to have a flash or ... a sensitivity event. You are just having it. no control. if you want to provoke it, you will get mixed up with your imagination. So do not provoke it. unless you are strongly gifted.
Do not talk to much about that type of things, as people will start judging you ... categorizing you ... . Talk only to people who also have this feeling (i talked about it with my mother, often in the family you have another gifted). With time you will start increasing the connections between reality and your perceptions ... (matching things you learnt intuitively with reallity)
As said you did nothing, it just happened and it will happen again. you can favor it by devlopping state of mind control (yoga, prayer or even electonic blinkers you put in front of eyes ...that i would not recomend) having your brain functioning in the alpha waves ... so called.
I do not know where you come from but you have every where meditation courses or training sessions ... this helps you in developping the understanding of it.

How did you do it? You planted the seed of suggestion in your partner. You evidently have a strong belief in the afterlife and I'm sure that has influenced your partner as well. In an atmosphere very supportive of belief in spirits and so forth, the power of suggestion became greater and greater between you two until he started "sensing" things too.
This doesn't require any spirit guides or the existence of spirits, only belief and the power of suggestion.

You didn't do it. If it was Nan, then she did it. It's ok that he doesn't feel her. I would not dwell on it. It is possible that he smelled her and in time he might experience more. Just be his friend at that time...that's all you can do.

You planted an idea and then the person started believing your misinformation. That is not surprising in the least bit. Lies like yours may offer comfort but they are not by any means accurate or true.
