A full grown woman who is 5'2" should weigh between 104 and 121, according to weight/BMI charts [ that's 19 to 24% fat. ] 25% and over is considered overweight, 30% or more, obese [ 164 lb. ]
Judging by proportions, if you loose weight, you will be normal or slightly pear shaped proportions. Right now, you are apple shaped, which puts you at high risk for diabetes, etc.
Suggest start avoiding all fried, fast, and junk food, even diet junk food.
Do cardio 30-45 minutes a day for 6 days a week to loose weight. [ 3 to maintain ].
Do 3 sets each of 10 reps of pushups, situps, obliques, and crunches, every other day.

i think you are a pear shape.
Also - It's unhealthy for a female to have a waist that measures more than 32 inches. Ideally your waist at the height of 5'2 should be about 28 inches to be considered slender. Don't even bother to step on the scale... just keep measuring your waist.

It has to do with your measurements and where you retain the most weight. If most of your weight is around your thighs and hips you are a pear though if most of your weight is at your abdomen you are an apple. And of course if you don't retain weight at all you're a ruler.

I think you shouldn't ask us this question. If you're happy with your body, then no. If you aren't, then sure, but be careful. Don't go on those crazy crash diets. Excercise and eat well. Good luck.

your BMI (body mass index) is 25.6, which is classified as overweight. so, it would be a good idea to start eating healthy and excersizing. you are pear shaped.
