My guy started school a month ago and has had at least 2 - 3 hours of homework each evening.
He is already stressed out.

My younger sister who is just going into 5th grade only had about an hour or less of homework last year, and not even every night.

Seems like alot, I remember having very little homework in the 4th grade definately less than 2 hours

4 hours when i was in 4th grade. but the average that is at a " " school is probably 1-2 hours. :)

2-3 hours is a lot. i really shouldnt be anymore than 1 hour. if that. gosh, they are only in 4th grade!! You need to talk to your principle and teacher.

the issue here with my grandson is that he doesn't want to do any homework and so what should be less than an hour's work ends up taking him nearly three.

it's driving his mother, grandmother, and I up the wall.
