If you want the country to stop functioning. All immigration would also include, all visitors who bring in over $120 billion in revenue for the country.

With a nation that imports more than it exports, if you want the country to completely implode, then vote for something that isolationist. Our nation is behind in technology of all forms, the brains exist outside here. So if you want it to be a nation where it cannot compete, I say vote for that. Shut down the airlines, since the majority of flights go overseas. Put those people out of work. I know put them in the fields to pick the fruits and veggies under min wage. It would not matter anyway because there would be no way to make it work.

Legal immigration has been the strength of America for long time, the best Asians, Africans and Europeans are here keeping the engine of US economy going. Immigration is never been a problem, its about enforcement. Maybe overhauling the present immigration law will helps..

There is a difference between immigration and illegal aliens. If they are immigrants who come into this country legally then no we shouldnt stop them, if they are illegal aliens, then yes they should not be allowed here. When you are here legally your are paying taxes, contributing to the country, and proud to be in this country. The illegal aliens do not pay taxes but are allowed to draw social security and welfare even though they pay nothing in. What about the citizens who really need it? The elderly, single mothers, etc. It is pretty much set that my generation (im 22) will not see a dime of social security even though we pay into it. The baby boomers of the 60's and 70's had alot to do with that but giving our social security to those who do not contribute to it does not help at all. There will be nothing left. Also the majority of illegals come across the border set up a p.o. box and cross weekly to work then take their pay across the border to Mexico. So they are taking Americas money and not putting it back into circulation here but into another country. My last pet peeve is those aliens that go to our schools or take our jobs (and yes I personally would not want to clean a hotel toilet but that job could go to a tax payer, a homeless mother with 3 kids, a highschool student saving up for a car, etc.) but when children are going to school illegally and their parents are not paying anything into the budget then it is not balanced and therefore we have the problems we do today with education. Oh and one more thing, the illegals that come over here and burn the American flags, fly them upside down, or put the American flag below a Mexican flag...they should be rounded up at those rallys and be sent back real quick. If they think so highly of Mexico and so little America yet they want to work here, draw welfare, social security, and send there children to school for a higher education at the tax payers expense should have to go back to Mexico and live in poverty, shacks, and get paid 15 cents a day until they are proud and thankful for being able to live over here. My grandparents were immigrants but i'm damn proud and thankful to be fortunate enough to live in America instead of a third world country with poverty, murder without consequence, and starvation. If they think Mexico is soooo much better then send their asses back across the border and not let any of them back over here without a permanant visa not for just 10 years but forever!

Well, it would only be fair for all Americans to agree, at the same time, not to leave the USA to other countries, either. For ten years. Think we'd all be willing to agree to that?

The problem isn't immigration, it's how we police the issue.

(Oh--and way to diss one of our national treasures. You call yourself American?)
