Gene Kelly was great at portraying "an everyman" as an actor/dancer & singer for me. Fred Astaire appeared too aloof for me and he was quite skinny -- although technically he might have been better at dancing, but overall my favorite is Gene.

Fred was a perfectionist but the best however Gene appealed to me more he just looked more natural

Dancing; I'd say Gene Kelly, but I still like Fred.

I couldn't choose. I still get a big kick out of watching them. I did see a special on Fred and the moves he made were unbelievable. And I can watch "Singing in the Rain" over and over.

never be another gene kelly - he danced like he was born doing it... true talent doesnt need practice it is innate and boy was it innate in him. genuine - people should nowadays have half the tenth the talent of gen and fred. true legends the both of 'em!
