Question

a) 2 sin 45 + 4 cos 30 = ?

b) 4 + tan^2 (pi / 3)

please help and explain, I have lots of problems like this . . . book does a crappy job explaining things

cos 30° = √3 / 2
tan (π/3) = √3


Question a)
2 (1 / √2) + 4 (√3 / 2)
(2 / √2) + 2 √3
√2 + 2 √3

Question b)
4 + 3 = 7
