I have a little problem...I want to go to this party but my parents are forbidding me to go to this party because last time I went I didn't come home until 4 o clock in the morning...they also think i was drunk but i beg to differ...so my question is...should i tell them i'm spending the night at a friends house and then go to the party because they have no reason not to let me go to the party...they think i drink a lot but i DON'T...they don't know what they're talking about!!!

First of all how old are you?
Not old enough to stay out partying until 4 am i am sure...
Your parents knows what's best for you and if you lie and they find out do you know what's going to happen???
They will NOT trust you anymore and that wouldn't be fun would it?
Think about it...
Good luck

Don't do it! It will come back to bite you in the tush. Your parents are bound to find out what happens, they have that 6th sense. If you lie to your parents now, then they really will have no reason to believe that you didn't drink, how would they trust you? I say that you bite the bullet now and just don't go no matter how much it sucks, because later when they trust you, you'll have a whole lot more freedom.

If you just want to have fun with your friends, why can't you invite them over to your house where there is (HOPEFULLY) no alcohol, and someone to make sure nothing bad happens (i.e, date rape?) I think it is wrong to deceive your parents. If they find out they would think even worse than they do now about the situation. And coming home at 4 AM is ridiculous. You should talk to your parents about what a good curfew would be, okay?

You can't fool parents. I learned it the hard way. But if I ever came home past 10, I wouldn't even be allowed to go to a friends house.

if you want privileges then you have to earn trust. Lying and going out to a party is obviously not trustworthy behavior.
