It's up to the Republicans to do anything because the democrats simply cannot, even when they have a majority. Isn't it amazing. Basically, what Democrats want is every seat and then you get more of the same. After they are done headhunting, which will be never, there will no republicans left, then they can get things done like they always promised. It's always the same excuse year after year, the republicans don't let them have their way so it's the Republicans fault. Double standard, normal procedure as always.
How is it that republicans get things done when they have majority but dems do not?
Mez makes my point, they want to use the fact that they can't seem to get anything done because there are republicans alive today. When they have destroyed all the republicans, what kind of government do you think we will be stuck with? A bunch of yes men, looking out for their best interests. So far though, all they do is worry about destroying republicans, as their agenda. Not taking care of voters. Excuses excuses all the time from the same people. Seems like after awhile even they would have to question what they are saying, haha, yeah, right.

Their is a reason this is called the do nothing Congress. It has become so partisan on both sides that nothing is getting done. Not reinforcing our bridges, prosecuting the war on terror, fixing Social Security, nothing. Now all the legislative branch stands for is moneygrubbing politicians.

Don't fret child, when we replace more Republicans with Democrats, they will finally be able to get things through. It's only 'til Nov. '08.

Well, every time they try to do anything the Republicans block them so all they can do is tread water and do what they can.
