Yes, it is, no chances of fire really, or radiation. If it were a microwave, then you'd have problems like cancer, but if it doesnt give off radiation, then its safe to sleep by. I don;t think Radio's can explode, so no real worries there, and if it goes dead, then it will probrably just turn off, but i have seen a few radios that give a little shock when the battery dies, but they are Very Old ones. All-in-all it's like a 0.08 % chance of anything happening to even hurt you, and thats like if theres a fire, and your asleep, that should be the only real thing that could ever happen to you while your asleep with the radio on. hopefully the fire alarm would wake you up though, hah
like i said, all-in-all, virtually no real chances of getting hurt by it.

Yea its fine sometimes a bit of noise in back ground is what helps us fall asleep,for me its the whipping sound of a over head fan.I run it at night year round.

ya as long as it isnt right next to your ear and blasting..
you may want to turn it down a bit if its waking you up, and that way you'd get a full night of sleep without any interruption.

A lot of people use this noise to fall asleep. It shouldn't hurt you if you don't have it on too loud.
