Probably not. They didn't do anything to address the areas they needed to.

Penner, Souray, and Pitkanen will not make up for the loss of Ryan Smith, Jason Smith, Chris Pronger and the talent that Joffrey Lupul showed while in Anaheim.

The club is also weak between the pipes. There was a reason that Minnesota made Roloson available and not Fernandez.

No way they dont have nearly enough talent or goaltending to get to the playoffs. They will actually be a pretty bad team. Roloson is not going to go anywhere and they lost their best player in Smyth. Their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lines are not going to score at all. Their first line is not that great either. Their defense has improved but it will not be enough. They just wont get enough goals to make up for it.

Holes of their protection and matters with injuries did them in. purchasing and merchandising away Smyth become the final nail interior the coffin. they did not get adequate from Anaheim for Pronger. each so often this is the off season that kills a solid team.

When you look at the Western Conference, it's hard to imagine them finishing ahead of anyone except Columbus.

They have a better chance of making it to the MLB playoffs.

I'm a little biased because they're my favourite team, but I think they're gonna rebound well this year. They better anyways....cause last year was quite painful.

I'm thinking NO. They have to find themselves after losing their leader. They might even finish last.
