I have taken it due to a condom breaking and not using a back-up form of b.c. I do not feel shame about it. I do think it is not okay to use it as a form of birth control, i.e. people should not just have unprotected sex and think its ok because there is plan b contraceptives available. I think it should be for condom failure, other product failures and emergencies like rape.
If you made one error in judgement, learn from it and move forward and do better next time. If it was a failure of birth control device- well I think that's why plan b is called plan b... plan A didn't work so well so you did what needed to be done and went to plan b. Basically you did the right thing.

Yes, I have taken it and yes, you are absolutely right, accidents do happen. Please dont feel ashamed there is no reason to beat yourself up about it. At least you did the right thing and took the necessary precautions. Maybe this will be a lesson learned. Sometimes it takes a mistake to remind us of responsibility. Stop thinking into it so much and just make sure it never happens again. Good luck!

I have never taken plan B but I can say that being responsible enough to know that you are not ready to bring a child into this world is nothing to be embarassed about. And yes people do make mistakes but we learn from them and move on.

From a professional (medical) stand point you shouldn't be embarrassed. Mistakes happen. If this is your first time making the mistake, let it go. If you are a repeat offender, you need to do some serious talking with a health care professional to get yourself on a better contraceptive plan. Forgive yourself, get smart and learn from your mistake, and move on!

I haven't taken Plan B, so I can't give you any experience. But please don't feel ashamed. You're human, you forget your primary birth control. Condoms break. It happens. You did the right thing, getting backup after your primary method failed.
