Do you mean "origami"?
It has nothing to do with Greece or Greek stuff.
It's making sculptures by folding paper and it originates in China and Japan:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/origami .

Is there anything I have not understood?

edit: obviously I'm missing something. How could greek celebrations and origami EVER be related?

There is no such thing. There is Pascha (Easter), Christougenna (Christmas), Kathara Deytera (Clean Monday), Apokries (Carnaval), Tsiknopempti (Thursday before the Kathara Deytera).
