if its your drain line leaking then run the sink and see where it is leaking

a pvc connention may be leaking
either allign the pipes correctly and tighten the compression fitting
if its a glued fitting you will have to cut out the fitting and refit a new joint by gluing in a new piece with a pvc union
(same thing if its a supply line to the sink)

Locate the place it is leaking. If it has a nut (such as at each end of the trap) just snug it up. Do not "crank" on it with a wrench or channel-locks as you can break it. If it is leaking from a joint with a nut and snugging doesn't help, there is a washer inside the nut that may have split. Replace it. If it was a glued joint (doubtful) it would need to be reglued.

Go to home depot or lowes and tell the guy. There is a repair type of kit you can get for that. You can use it over and over. For now, If you cannot get there. Turn off the water, dry the area and duck tape it to death.
