Just try and relax and you will find that everything falls into place. Everyone else is in the same boat and you will make lots of new friends alot faster than you expect.

I start at sixthform on the 10th and have a physical education induction tomorrow to so just think that I will probably be sufferering a bleep test too lol. That should make you feel better. But yeah, best thing to do is just chill out and try to enjoy it as much as possible.

GOOD LUCK!

Think of this as an opportunity to make new friends; after all, you all share an interest in sports, so there is a common starting point. Also, you need to remember that most of the others (perhaps with a few exceptions) are going through exactly the same thing. They probably don't know anyone and are nervous too. That, too, provides you with a way of talking to people. Just going up to someone who looks pleasant to you and saying, "Are you as nervous as I am about this? I don't know anyone here!" may bring a sigh of relief from them.

If I look back at my education, the first day at every level was one of my best memories. I remember my first day of school - meeting another shy little girl with beautiful eyes at the top of the jungle gym and wanting to talk to her but not knowing what to say. I remember my first day of university and meeting people who eventually became my best friends. Most recently, I remember my first day of law school and nervous talk with three other people who were all equally nervous and we relieved one another's fears. This should be a good experience. Enjoy it!

Again, can't help with the running, but if you don't know anybody I would think of it as a new start you can be whoever you want to be, more confident etc.
Many others are going to be in the same position so sure you'll soon make friends with other nervous students.

Can't help on the running side of things, but everyone is in the same boat as you, no one will really know anyone so just be chatty and you'll get on fine with people

Good Luck

Some extra courses in English spelling and grammar might be worth while!
