well, i don't know. as much as i want to deny to myself, i guess i'm an idealist. . i think that in love, success and happiness, i have some ideals that i live about but i don't live out. i mean, like in love, i have this idea that someday i'll find a handome rich man who's unbearably sweet and kind and who loves me very much that he'll do anything for me, and like we'll live in this big house with lots of children. . . you know, the whole nine yards. but then, i can't help but wonder if this will ever happen? for a young girl like me, all of this are just girlish ideas, cause out in the real world, you'll find that most guys are not so romantically inclined to do the whole entalada with the white picket fence and all. and i have this ideal that if i just have high grades and the capacity, i'll be a success and i'll be as famous and rich as oprah winfrey. but then, i stop and think, the real world has some wild sharks.how can i compete with them? what if they too, shred me into pieces until i don't have any strength to fight back? and as much as i deny it, or repress it, happiness doesn't come in whiter and gold. sometimes i have to crawl the dirt and go way out of my line to find happiness and be content without hurting anyone [which is really difficult when i get into my line of chosen profession] and it's difficult not to get hurt by life's small misgivings. so my idea of 'everlasting' love and happiness, in the long run, will turn sour and will wither, but that's only if i don't play the rules right. i get to be a cynic and a pessimistic sometimes, and i do quite surprise myself to find i have that in me, but i know that even though i don't get to achieve these ideals, the least that i can get is an almost equal perfect picture. =)

Ever learning and sharing more Truth; primarily in God-consciousness and Jesusonian Christianity, next in supernal philosophy, then in science and technology. (my earlier background)

In personal relations with other Humans, I try to treat and communicate with others as I believe that our Master God-Man Jesus Christ would do. He is here fully in Spirit to lovingly and wisely guide us into ALL Truth of GOD. (Christians should know this from Jesus' words in John 16:7-16)

Technically speaking, love, mercy, ministry, (service) truth, beauty and goodness are each Supreme values and are each higher than intellectual meanings or ideal philosophies. Science facts come in lowest.
1. Supreme Values
2. philosophical ideals
3. science physical facts
A well-balanced Human personality integrates all three of the above ever more perfectly.

Thus I have many values and ideals, however I am mainly a living Truth specialist by choice over the last 30 plus years so far.

Peace and progress,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian Christian Truthist

Come and share !

I found being attached to one more ideals is problematic and doesn't address issues that emerge over time. I would consider that I am more flexible these days. If something isn't working, or if an ideal is a source of suffering, then I can quickly abandon it.

At this stage, there is no ideal.

From Puss 'N Boots: "Kindness to an animal will bring its own reward". By ideals do you really mean values? I have very few of those.

The golden rule...do unto others as you would have done unto you. Mainly I just try to be as human and as humane as I can be.
