In my opinion, traditional businesses require a lot of time & money investment upfront. Setting up a traditional business itself takes hell lot of time & money. Even after setting up everything still you will be not sure whether it'll be successfull or not for long term.
One of the easier business to manage & run I've found is Internet or Online Marketing. You just need a computer, an internet connection & a burning desire to make it big online.
You can be up & running in less than a week and under $200 investment.
It is scalable as well and sky is the limit, in case you are really serious about it. I'm working part time about 3-4 hours a day & already making healthy living online.
The key part which I really love, being a bit lazy, is automation. Once you set it up, it runs on autopilot making you money 24-by-7.
Its difficult to explain everything in detail here but if you are not aware of Internet Marketing or Online Marketing then I highly recommend you to join this excellent free course.

Such a generic question its hard to even know where to start. Most people will tell you do what you like. Well say you like cars, you can't exactly run out and start building cars. More times than not your extremely limited on what you can do buy how much money you have. About the second most asked question on here after yours(or some variation) is how do I get the money for what I want to do. You have to be realistic about where you can start out and what your likely to achieve. Nobody is going to drive the money truck up to your house cause you have an idea. They are going to want to see your the guy to make that idea work and more often than not they are going to want to see that idea in motion, even if its on a small scale before you are able to get money to grow it.
The thing you have to do first is understand that having your own business isn't necessarily better. It often means working harder, for less money, less benefits with alot more headaches, liablitiy and concerns. Its more than likely going to take time, perhaps years of busting your **** before it starts to seem worthwhille. Lets not forget that most small businesses fail, in large part for this very reason. Thats why most people will tell you to pick something you enjoy, cause at least at first, your more than likely going to make less money doing it than you would working for someone else.
