well first you turn 20% into a decimal by moving the decimal two spaces to the left, and you should get .20
then you multiply the decimal .20 and 58.94 and you should end up with 11.788 (NOTE YOU DONT STOP HERE)
Next you subtract 11.788 from 58.94 and you will end up with 47.152

Well, 10% is easy, isn't it? Just move the decimal point over one place to the left.
20% is twice that amount.

well,
(58.94 x 20)/100
whatever the result is, it's 20% of 58.94
or you can multiply 58.94 by 0.2 and get the same result.
