let
x = 2.525252525252...
100x = 252.5252525252...
100x - x = 252.5252525252... - 2.525252525252...
99x = 250
so
x = 250/99 is the fraction

I'm not sure what the rest of your question means
250 + 99 = 349 maybe??

the end
.

250/99 gives you the fraction

I'm not sure what it means by the sum of the terms of the fraction unless this is supposed to be 250+99 = 349 but that is a bit of a meaningless number.

Let x be the number:
x=2.525252...
Then
100x=252.525252.... and it's still true that
1x=2.525252...

Subtracting the two equations gets rid of the decimals:
99x=250

So, x=250/99 and the sum of the terms is 349!!
Fun problem.

Let P = 2.525252525....
& 100P = 252.52525252552....
Subtract 100P from p = 99P
Hence it follows that
252.5252525. - 2.525252525.. = 250
Hence 99 P = 250
P = 250/99
P = 2 (52/99)
