Okay what I mean by people not answering the question correctly is that they answer it but don't answer what the question is asking and instead they interpret it differently and they end up not helping you out at all.

If you are talking after one day, I wouldn't delete it. Somebody might come along within the time your question is out and give a good answer. If you mean after the time has expired, if there is no answer that fits at all, I would probably delete it because I can't see giving best answer to someone who didn't actually answer the question. Look at a few answers you just got here. They are just being jerks and would never get best answer from me.

No.That's never happened to me, exactly..I've seen it happen, or been told it's happened...(I don't ask many Qs.) I've noticed that the person who posts the Q frequently adds "additional details", so as to steer us toward the proper track...Which makes good sense... I don't think I'd delete a question of mine where that happened...The people who answered put effort and thought into their answer. Probably the fault is mine, for being ambiguous. At least; the fault is AS MUCH mine...
Anyway, I would not delete the question. No mindreaders here.... }:> (...Of course; she said; unable to resist.......)Then there are the people who DON"T READ! The Q says: "NOT including Red." The answer says: "THE RED!" Argggh! }:>

Yes I do if it doesn't have a lot of answers. But if many people have answered it, I leave it and just reask the question at a later time. Rewording it so that hopefully this time it's understood.

No, there will usually be at least one person that "gets it"...so I will choose them for best answer...the rest I just shake my head & shrug my shoulders at them! I always think maybe I just didn't word it for them properly or that there are only a select few that think about things in the same way that I do...'cause I'm kinda weird in my thought processes anyway! lol Always have been! =D

No... the only time I ever deleted a question was to see whether or not I'd get my points back for doing so (I didn't).

I would restate the question in the same words and maybe explain the meaning you are trying to convey with it and invite those who participated before to answer the question with this in mind.
