I'm not talking a few tears I'm talking the blubbering wailing cry. This came to mind after yesterday I saw a 30 year old woman sobbing after cutting her foot. So this question is for physical pain only.

Rook: what does "when he gets sat 3 tables at once" mean? is he a waiter?

again people: this is the snuffling, wailing, bellowing cry. Not the "ouch, that hurts tears in the eye" The one that cries for attention. Say you are in the backyard by yourself and you stub your toe. You might swear and a few tears comes to your eyes but do you sit down and start blubbering?

James: I cut myself accidentally hundreds of times-- so far the reation is "Ouch! crap, that's going to leave a stain" I don't go running to my mommy as it seems you still do.

I would think 6 to 10 years old. I guess all boys are different and it depends on the father figure. It's amazing how when you get older emotions make you cry and when you physically hurt yourself you start cussing.

I don't think there is an age at which age physical pain should no longer cause crying. I think somewhere in the "tween" ages it fades

I am 31, and sometimes when I injure myself I will cry, a little if it hurts a lot. Once or twice I have blubbered, but it was more because it was the last straw... I was under a ton of stress and it was the last thing I needed kind of situation. It was like a manifestation of emotional baggage that had been building up, and just came out with the injury.

Maybe the woman you saw was crying for a similar reason.

People cry for various reasons. Personally I think it is a good thing that people can show their emotions and are comfortable in doing so. Society for a long time detested emotions being shown at all. This happens with other things too throughout history. (children should not be seen nor heard unless they are displayed)

I think that there may have been another reason for this women's display of emotions. May be she has a low pain tolerance for some reason. May be she had finally just had enough, like after a bad day, and she just could not handle anything else.

Boys should feel free to cry when they want too. Crying is good for you when you need it. It is not unmanly to cry. It is an emotion, and no emotion should be bottled up inside you. That can just cause a larger problem. Boys, and even grown men, should never be ashamed or reprimanded for crying.

This looks like a stereo typical question. Like when are big strong men not allowed to cry cause they're supposed to be tough and mean. There is no age where all of a sudden you toughen up and take everything like a man. So say at 35 you break your leg and you start crying. Would you say SUCK IT UP LITTLE CRY BABY! no i don't think you would. Crying doesn't make you weaker if anything it strengthens you by allowing you to be free with your emotions. It takes a real man to be able to say you know what i can't tak e it and just cry. Its no cry or foul to cry at any age for anyone. So i say you can never be old enough not to cry.

I don't know what the age limit is. If there is one. I stopped crying about that kind of pain when I was in the 4th grade.

No age limit. It depends on the person, and their pain threshold.
