Being in the Garden and Landscape section I assume that this is some kind of "turf war". If it has something to do with someone else getting 'willy sticky', I would tell 'willy's' owner to get the hell out!! But be nice to 'willy' it's not his fault. RScott

I would call it sticky willy (cleavers), doesn't respond well to weed killers I'm afraid, hand pulling is the best option for this bugger I'm afraid. When pulled it will grow low to the ground and makes it easier to get out or hand paint with glyphosate.
Have you ever heard the saying one years seeding seven years weeding.

Try calling it goose grass or bed straw, you may get a few sensible answers that way. All the Galium family will be killed off by a selective weed killer if they are in your lawns. Otherwise roundup will give a total kill but if it is in the borders hand weeding is the only solution.

keep weeding.
weed out thoroughly before the seeds set and burn the plants.
Dont put it in the compost heap- It will grow beautifully there.
