Probably the consummate American author. His use of stream of consciousness writing is impeccable. His As I Lay Dying is a masterpiece. So is The Sound and the Fury. Many don't read his work because it scares them. Don't let it. Jump right in and tell yourself you can do it. You will not regret it. Pax- C

Do you mean William Faulkner, the author of As I Lay Dying? If so, what about him?
