my simple question is Which laptop company is good & reputable Acer or HCL? then why are u giving me the answers of dell,sony,toshiba,compaq,lenovo. I want answers regarding the 2 companies which I have mentioned.If u want to give the name of some other company then plz I don't need ur answers.plz dont mind U all r my friends.

Neither has a good reputation in the USA, so people are suggesting better options. I've never heard of HCL, are they a European or Asian brand?
I've heard Acer is planning to buy out Gateway, so at least they will be a big company, if not a good one.

I have never heard of HCL before, but I know Acer is a good company. Apart from vendors like Acer that already have good retail presence; others joining the fray were companies like Lenovo, HCL and Sahara. That's all.

Acer and HCL are both dreadful brands for laptops. Of the two, neither have a good reputation for quality or reliability. If I had to chose one, I would go for Acer only because it is a more commonly known brand.
Oh yeah, If you want free advice you take what your given rather than bitching about people that are trying to give you a helpful insight into a costly mistake you might be about to make...get some manners

Acer is in talks to acquire Gateway (US compy), which after this acquisition will become the world's 3rd largest company in comp manufacture. I would prefer Acer than HCL, although HCL might be a bit cheaper.

I know Acer isn't fantastic for products, however I haven't heard of the second company so I would go for Acer out of those 2

Between Acer and HCL, take the latter i.e. HCL. But if you have a third better alternative to choose from, then drop these two.

If you want laptop for gaming choose hcl laptop with 15.4 screen and pci express card slot.
For other facilities choose acer laptops.
No doubt acer is better.

Well, they were only trying to help and guide you. Both Acer and HCL are not the best in the market. So what the users were trying to do is guide you to the best make.
Now, it’s up to you to single out the best answer. As far as I can see, you failed here not the users.

Among the two Acer is certailnly better..however if you have you have a little flexible budget you should go for Dell..
