Because China has the 2nd largest economy in the world. And as one "wise" Roman emperor once said: Pecunia non olet.

Because China is the biggest country in the world with over 1.4 billion people

It also sells us more goods that any other country even though those goods are tainted and in many cases rip offs of american patented products

It does not make sense -- But thats what makes the world go 'round.

And we got our a**es handed to us in the Bay Of Pigs debacle in 1961

I would hope the powers-that-be in the U.S. would look back at Carter's boycott of the Moscow Olympic Games and see where it got us. All it did was take away the chances of athletes who had trained all their lives to compete in the Olympics - and make the world angry. It did nothing to further a political cause at all.

Cuba, China, the Olympics are supposed to bring people of all nations together. They leaders (hmmmm) we can't control.

Hilarious.

China is a friend, and no longer communist, so you'd notice.

I hope we wouldn't boycott it in Cuba any more, either. That is all historic carryover from cold war days.

When Castro dies I predict a different relationship with Cuba.

Why deny our athletes the chance to shine?

The Miami Cubans will tell us when they feel it's right to do anything concerning Cuba. Which translates to when they control what goes on about or in Cuba

Why is the USA afraid of the Cuban carrier fleet or the Cuban nuclear missile attack force?

LOL! It really amuses me that Big Bully is afraid of Little Mouse.
