My mom's ex-husband about 7 years ago forged her name on a loan he took out on her house that my dad paid for before he died. When they got a devoice he stopped paying and she lost the house. In court her lawyer augured that since she didn't sign this document the contract was invalid. The judge didn't see it that way and let the bank take her house away.

I lost my license due to a identity theft issue in 2002. While out of the country for 3 years they said I had gotten 4 speeding tickets in a town I've never been to in a state I don't live in. After they admitted their system was flawed they offered nothing to compensate and still haven't given my licenses back yet.

Two teenagers smashed up my car last year and left it totaled. The police caught them and they have already pleaded guilty in court. Over a year has past and I've received no money for damages they caused.

I have never seen our justice system work right. My life is ruined because of our justice system.

Basically, there is no such thing as justice, only the law. We worry so much about criminals rights that we leave the victims to their own means. My biggest complaint with the system is that a person found guilty has the right to appeal the conviction, but, a victim cannot appeal a not guilty verdict, even with new positive evidence since this is double jeopardy.

The court system isn't about "justice"---that's why you are so disappointed.

The court system is about "maneuvers", that is, who can work the system the best.

So if you want satisfaction or to be made right, you have to know how to work the system in your favor.

it's not about fairness. It's about who has the best lawyers, who knows how to pitch to the judge or jury, who knows how to appeal, who knows what to say and what not to say.

Life isn't fair and that's doubly true in any court system anywhere on earth.

So get smart, get tough and good luck to you. I'm sorry things worked out so badly.

But if you just got to court and plead for justice, you're going to get creamed, sad to say.

our representatives have let it get that way. its all about money. the judges are not monitored and can pretty much do what they want, including breaking laws themselves, which they do everyday. our justice system needs an enema.
