how much extra do i have to pay to lease the modem supplied by comcast high speed internet?

i think i heard an extra $3... but that ight be just for some wires that are leased.

I think it's closer to $6 - enough so that after a year the lease fees were higher than the cost of a modem. But I'm not sure about what they charge now, I bought my own and returned the comcast modem a long time ago.
