I'd say easily the answer is C.P.R. It's a life saving skill and yet not many people want to take the short amount of time to learn it or keep up with it.
Life is a precious thing friend!

Remembering names! I am horrible with names, but one of things I've noticed about many successful people I've met is that they all do a good job matching names with people very quickly.
It's one of the greatest social skills I can think of because everyone likes to be remember; moreover, it's a strong impression maker when someone you meet can call you by name within minutes or the next time he or she sees you.
I'm sure you can expand wonderfully on this idea and use it in a paper.

Diplomacy, Id say with the way things are going these days, more people tend to lean towards shouting and violence to solve problems not that it ever does solve a problem it just leads to the weaker party having to go away and lick their wounds
