Ah a fellow Hokie! I live in Blacksburg as well, and I LOVE the Hokies! I cried yesterday during pre-game. There's never been a more emotional game here in Blacksburg. I've actually lost my voice from all the yelling I did yesterday.

i was in west virgina in april around the time the shooting happened not too far from blacksburg, va. im a huge Texas fan, but its hard to root against a team when something this tragic happens. Its the same with the Saints a couple years ago and Katrina. I think the one thing about sports is it is minor compared to larger things. But when you suit up for a game it takes your mind away from the pain for 3 or 4 hours. For that length of time you arent grieving. You are being entertained and your perception changes for a little while. so good luck to VA TECH. GO HOKIES

I live in Alexandria, and yes I too am a Hokie fan. The Virginia Tech Hokies are love thoughout the whole wide world. Are you kidding me? Go Hokies. Have a good day.

well i had never been a hokie fan before the terrible incident this year. But i had been so anxious for their first game. I was so excited when they came out of the tunnel and the fans were going wild. It was probably the greatest sports moment since the saints came back and won their first game after katrina. I was going wild the entire game and now i root for the hokies. GO VT!

I am not their fan but i do hope that they meet us (the cal golden bears) in the championship game. Best of luck against LSU hokie fans and may god be with you guys. I am expecting the hokies to win against lsu, you guys better not disappoint.

I don't mind cheering for them a bit this season after all they've been through, and hope they do well. When it comes to my Noles taking a trip to Blacksburg Nov. 10th, not so much. Then it's go time.

I do not like or hate VT. That said I was moved by the pregame yestarday and I hope they have a great season with an ACC championship banner.
