Thomas Jefferson once said: "When a man assumes a public trust, he should consider himself as public property."

The malfeasance of our political leaders is shameful, outrageous and unforgivable. Instead of public servants, they have set up them up as privileged royalty (as evidenced by Larry Craig when he showed his Congressional I.D. to the arresting officer and said, "What do you think about that?"). Our public servants should be held to a higher standard, and should be expected to lead exemplary lives. Not only should the Republican Party hold its collective head in shame this holiday weekend; the entire body of Congress and members of our Executive Branch should all be remorseful of the cretinism that has infected our political process. -RKO- 09/02/07

In Dem controlled states, what happened to GM Tarrytown, Buick/Flint, GM Framingham, Chrysler/Syracuse,, the Steel mills in Pittsburgh and Chicago and Indiana,,
I wonder.

Over what? The continued rape of our industry by the unions? The push of the liberals in Congress to nationalize our healthcare system and give big business the biggest reward in their history?

What are we supposed to be ashamed of?
