Richard Seymour is out for at least six games and while Jarvis Green is a solid backup, he can't bring pressure on a QB like Seymour, which means that their entire defense is going to be a lot more vulnerable. Chad Pennington will pick apart their secondary in week 1 with all the time in the world to throw; Ty Warren is very good but he also hurt himself in the preseason and Wilfork was owned by Nick Mangold all three times last year. Their starting fast safety Eugene Wilson is also out with injury, and the strong saftey Rodney Harrison is suspended for four games. And probably most importantly, Randy Moss has not practiced in over a month and no one knows if he's ever coming back. Plus, they have a pretty tough schedule as well. Face it, Pats fans, your team is really not that good. Bringing in an old has-been (Moss) without addressing that horrible secondary and aging linebackers (did anyone watch Bruschi play against Indy?) will only lead to an extremely disappointing season.

Ok, let me pick apart your retarded question:
1.) Jarvis Green actually has more sacks than Seymour (look it up). Lets not forget he sacked Peyton Manning 3 TIMES in the 2004 AFC championship by his lonesome.
2.) We finally have Asante Samuel back
3.) Seymour is not the entire defense you schmuck. We still got Bruschi, Colvin, and Thomas.
4.) We're used to be playing without Harrision, since hes injured so much.
5.) Randy Moss IS coming back, since Bill Belichek says hes day-to day. And he sincerely wants to play, since he took a 6.25 MILLION DOLLAR pay cut to play for the Pats.
6.) We still have Bill Belichek and Tom Brady, which is more than enough to pwn every1 else in the AFC east and go deep in the playoffs.
7.) Aging linebackers?????? Teddy Bruschi has ONE bad game, and you are predicting the demise of the Patriots.
8.) Just cause Wilfork got manhandled by Mangold doesnt mean he sucks. We all know Mangold can pwn just about anybody.
Man, you need to really think about what your saying, because it doesnt make sense. I didnt know the pats would suck just by you wanting them to. My team is really not that good? We won 3 outta 4 mostly using no-name players that are unknown outside NE. We made excellent teams like the Steelers and Colts of years past look downright stupid. Now with all this talent theres no reason that we cant win it all again. The jets will be in NY this february while the Pats will in be phoenix

extremely it makes the NFL seem terrible. by using fact the Patriots have been accused of cheating and that they did an entire out study, yet while the Colts are accused they don't something. additionally, this type of advantageous form of communities stepped forward by using this "undercover agent-gate" project and reported that they had issues with the QB headsets, and Brady had those issues final night and an ESPN guy stepped forward and reported that it extremely is an ongoing difficulty in the process the full NFL and has been happening for years. while that's the Colts doing something incorrect, that could be a technique or the different not incorrect, i don't understand this. And it wasn't the full enterprise. Your purely ignorant, and on a similar time as I hate asserting this, there is a few style of conspiracy in the direction of the Pats. Did you notice the officiating? that is getting ridiculous.

Growing up within walking distance of Shea Stadium, if you cut me I bleed green and white. I love to hate the Pats as much as the next guy, but you my friend need a dose of reality. They still are quite good, as are the Jets. I think we'll split the season with them again, probably both go the the playoffs again and lets just hope things get better for us from there. But to say the Pats are not that good, well that makes you part of the reason people hate Jets fans. I love my team more than anything and would like nothing more than to see NE go 0-16, but that doesn't mean they suck. A real football fan can appreciate a quality organization even if they are his rivals.

I'm FAR from being a Patriots' fan, but...
I expect them to be just fine. It's a lot better to have injury issues at the BEGINNING of the season. As the season progresses, they presumably will get better as players return. I think they can weather the storm in the meantime.
I'll agree that the defense is a different monster without Seymour. But with a few shifts in the defensive corps they'll be able to manage.
As long as Belichik is their coach, I would still be leery of them.

They will crush the Jets and win the Super Bowl, that will not be extremely disappointing.
Tedy Bruschi had the flu and was dehydrated, that has nothing to do with age.

hmmmmmmmmmm let's see, Moss is a bum who is never gonna be as good as he was in his prime, and you won't have Seymour or Harrison for the beginning of the season, and they have the lime light, and we all know what happened to the Chargers and Colts when they had the lime light, Choke!
