When you dream, does your brain ever reference previous dreams you've had? I just had a dream (involving the Master Chief, Star Wars, a book I previously read called 'House of the Scorpion,' and energy bars) which referenced a dream I'd forgotten about that involved boy scout camp werewolves. (The camp I went to in real life is called Wolfeboro). Needless to say, I find it disturbing but awesome that my subconsciousness is connecting old dreams to new ones.

Yes, plenty of past dreams (or parts thereof) enter current dreams. How could they not? It's not like there's a producer down in Hollywood picking new scripts for your subconscious! Your points of reference will grow, but they all become a part of your memory bank.

I frequently have what I call sequel dreams, where dream 2 is a continuation of dream 1, dream 3 a continuation of dream 2, etc. They occur when the alarm goes off and I hit the snooze button and fall right back asleep. I guess at that point my brain hasn't had a chance to clear out that last dream and just continues with a variation.

Yes. It is possible. I have lucid dreaming abilities - I can "wake up" in my dreams, and control the situation. I have referenced other dreams and even thoughts from my childhood in my dreams. Lately, I have been actually interpreting my dreams, AS I DREAM. For example, I would pick up a piece of wood in my dream that is carved into a serpent figure. I will hold in my hands and try to interpret its meaning, while I'm dreaming. Lately, I am always "aware" in about 90% of my dreams. Dreams can be fun !

Record all your dreams, including the ones that you have while napping. When you give this little attention to your dreams, you will start to develop some very exciting dreaming abilities over time.

....nighty night !

Considering that I am my brain I don't see why it is so spectacular.
Yes, I dream about werewolves every full moon.
I just think about previous dreams. Just you forget
because you are thinking about other things which
is just like the computer of a brain you are.

Yes, your brain is a supercomputer....and here's some more food for thought.....did you know your brain doesn't know the difference between when you're awake and asleep? When you wake up, there isn't a switch or anything that says OK - hey I'm awake......which leads to the next interesting thought........then aren't we always dreaming?

Sure, all the time. I frequently dream about my children being little, and all of us living together again.Sometimes I have virtually the same dream two nights in a row. Its called wishful thinking.

Your mind has access to your mind, so anything that is there can be brought up in a dream.

yes it does. it bases your dream on anything that you have in your memory, which very well could be part of last night's dream.
