ok, you got a 5 gillion dollar defense system, and you decide to switch it off for five minutes, in the same space of time 9/11 occurs, and then you switch it back on again,

a couple of months later, everyone in that dvision gets promoted, i don't know if this is standard american protocol, but normally when people screw things up like this they generally get sacked,

why do you guys reckon they got promoted, and why do you reckon they switched it off in the first place?

I'd have to agree with Kudzu. Everything about NORAD is strictly classified information-Washington would never let the public know about a genuine error in the North_____Regional Air Defense. Such mistakes would require the president's head to roll, not just the commanders.

In hindsight, it might have been better if indeed his head did roll.

and what conspiracy website did you get this from? Norad is tasked with tracking outside of US continental borders and space, not within US unless something enters that area from space.
