The standard intercept form of equation of line
x/a + y/b = 1
where a = x-intercept
b = y - intercept
the equation of given line
y = 2x + 3/2
rearranging
2x - y = -3/2
dividing by -(3/2)
2x/(-3/2) - y/(-3/2) = 1
x/(-3/2)(1/2) + y(3/2) = 1
x/(-3/4) + y(3/2) = 1
comparing with standard form
x - intercpt = -3/4
y - intercpt = 3/2

1) Yes, it is possible. For instance, it could be a line going from (2,4) to (2,5) 2) Absolutely. But if there are no y intercepts, then there is only going to be a line like. Only one x intercept. Put the point at (4,0) That is a vertical line. x = 4 3) Yes. That is a horizontal line. No x intercept. like y = -3 :-) To find x and y intercepts, do this: For x int, set the whole equation equal to zero and solve for x. For y int, take that x you figured out and plug it into the original equation everywhere there is an x and solve for y. :-)
