This is out of curiosity...I'm not trying to imply who should like whom. However, I've heard ttha many young Southern white women (who, theoretically, should be more tolerant than older Southern white women) hate it when black guys check them out or put the moves on them. It's no skin off my nose, as I don't live in the South...I'm just wondering what the real story is.

The 8/1/06 post regarding The Roxy in Houston is an example of what I'm thinking of: http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:19Ak-ilKg1cJ:search.cityguide.aol.com/houston/bars/roxy/v-111800/reviews+%22fat+black+guys%22+houston&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=us

When will some of you ever wake up and realize that the South in America is no different from the rest of America? Oh, except for that thing about race riots which always seem to happen in L.A., Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, New York, and points in between. You want to hate the South, hate the South - and stay the h*ll out of it! Don't move there and don't visit there, just stay in your own pious little heaven on earth where you can attribute all the nation's problems to the South. From having lived in the South, believe me, they don't really give a rats a** what you think. That's the "real" story.

Love is not rare. It has spanned centuries, races, religion, started wars, united families, reunited situations, resolved things...
Humans are a picky race. I am a mixed race girl myself. And my husband is Salish Indian. He also has white in his blood. Never did I ever think I'd fall in love, period.
It is not unusual. It has gone on forever throughout history. Some of it was lust, but for the most part, it is love and love always endures.
