- specifically I would like to know how many French were killed, given that they seem to be in denial that 130,000 Americans died on their shorelines to free them from the Nazis

France had 250,000 combat deaths and 270,000 civilian deaths during WW2.

Yeah, but who's stupid idea was to run along the beach and get mowed down by machine gun placements?

Wasn't there ANY other area they could have landed without so many casualties? What a waste.

the UK boys are sure finding out the hard way
typical "gung ho" approach by the Americans cost many lives needlessly - judging recent events they still ain't learned nothing
