We never know when we're going to die. You might be on your way to work and die in a bridge collapose. You might be on a plane and die while crashing into the twin towers.

You just never know.

How do you feel about this?

It really hit me this weekend. I got a call Friday night that a man I've worked with for 13 years went home at lunchtime Friday and was working in his barn, got kicked in the chest by a horse and his wife came home from work and found him dead in his armchair. I just saw him that morning at work and I was and still am in shock!!

It made me realize that #1, compared to that I have no problems in my life that can compare to what that family is going through and I am grateful for that; #2, it made me realize that life is so short (he was only 56) and we can all go at any time, so we should always tell people that we care about them or love them, etc. and #3, nothing in this world is fair (he left a wife, 2 grown children and a 3-yr old grandson) and that's just the way life is.

I'll be going to his funeral on Monday and crying my eyes out because he was a good person and a good friend. But believe me, it made me tell my husband and son that I love them both that night!!

I accept it.......who knows when my time is....no one. I have thought about this many times before, just thinking that waking up in the morning as my day has begun and the things i do that day maybe something thats just leading towards my death. I dont let it bother me....when my time comes it will come. I will accept fate aslong as i die within reason, meaning by natrual causes or a freak accident. I do not and will not accept death if my life ends because of someone elses hands...example murder. I will be hanging around if thats the case....Lol.

On a serious note...life is death and everything that lives shall die. Live life to the full and enjoy the journey where ever it takes you. I look forward to whatever is to come after my life has finished.

Peace to all..........Dont worry about it

We have no choice but to accept this as a possibility, because we have seen that disasters and premature death strike many people. We can try to reduce risks by practicing safety, healthful eating, etc. But there is no guarantee.
Who knows what is a better death or a worse death. I have seen people suffering from long illnesses at the end of life. That is also a possibility. It would be nice to live a long healthy life and then die immediately from a first heart attack.
But we do not choose the manner of our death.

A song by Switchfoot says, "Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead........today is all you'll ever have"

Sitting around and thinking about dying constantly causes you to forget about today so I choose to live each day and work to not think about yesterday's problems or tomorrow's possiblities.

You have no option but to accept you can be gone at anytime. How you spend the time you have and whether you focus on the end of your life rather than what is happening now.....that you do have an option.

I hope everyone opts to live life to the fullest and be the best person they can be---TODAY.

Well of course. Death is a normal part of everyday life. There has got to be and end to this beautiful life sometime. Could you imagine living forever? I think there would be a new meaning of boredom. Really though, you shouldn't waste your time thinking of death. Learning more about it and different beliefs of life after death is ok. But enjoy what's here in front of you. You'll die some day. You'll be missed of course. And maybe you'll be back someday.

I feel fine about this.

My death in the end, will contribute to other organism's life and continue to propagate life further.

I'm not saying that this means I'm ready to die, I'm not. But I can accept that it may just happen, and if so, it has for a reason.

I believe in God and I have salvation through Jesus.
At least when I do dies, and we all will, I know I will go to a place filled with peace and love and eternity. What will happen to you? We do not ever know, if we pull out our driveway and get hit and killed right there. You may fall dead today with a hear attack, or other reason, just be prepared.

How CAN we feel about it? And how can we BUT accept it? There's no other option. That's life... part of "life" is death, so I just deal with it and try to live each minute and day to the full.
Have a great day.

It makes me a better person. I keep my ducks in a row and appreciate everything more because of this. It keeps me mindful. I live in the moment because Now is all there really is.
Yes, I accept it.

Having realized the possibilities and thought over it,one gets used to it.As the real life situations are more demanding, this idea gets pushed to the back of our minds and we keep flowing with the current of life.
