How? Is there a bus for it? Or do I have to go from Richmond to Roanoke, and then to Blacksburg? I'm gonna be landing on Richmond's Airport and I'm kinda lost. Greyhound seems not to go that direction also.
Thanks.

I do not know of any bus that drives from Richmond International Airport to Blacksburg, VA. Greyhound drives from Richmond to Roanoak. Amtrak rides from Richmond up to DC then back down to Lynchburg.

Roanoak is a bit closer to Blacksburg than Lynchburg. If you fly into Richmond, I would take a cab to the Greyhound Bus station. Take the bus to Roanoak. In Roanoak, see if you can get a cab to drive you down to Blacksburg.

Or, rent a car at Richmond International Airport and drive out there. It's a bit of a drive if you are tired from the flight, about 4 hours. But, if it's daylight, it's a nice drive. To get to Blacksburg from Richmond, you will drive two hours east on I-64. Then head south on I-81 for about an hour plus and you will be at Blacksburg. Print out Mapquest directions to give you a better idea.

If you do plan on flying into an airport closer to Blacksburg, pay attention to what services are available for the area. Just because it is an airport does not mean that there is bus service or car rental services.

Good luck!

If you do not have your own car, you will need to take a bus or a taxi to Blacksburg. Blacksburg is close to Roanoke. From Richmond, you need to take 64 westbound to 81 south and that will get you to Blacksburg. It will probably take you 3 to 4 hours. It will be a long drive! If I were you, I would try to get a flight into Roanoke instead.

i've been browsing more than 2 hours today searching for answers to the same question, but I haven't found any interesting debate like this. It's pretty worth enough for me.

It doesn't matter what time your friend left Oxford to go to London, all flights are on a schedule, they take off and land at particular times. Your friend booked his or her own flight, they should be able to tell what time they're landing or ask your friend's family what time they're due to land.
