George Bernard Shaw once said: "Democracy is a form of government that substitutes election by the incompetent many for appointment by the corrupt few."
Our monopolistic two-party political system, that puts a stranglehold on the democratic process of the vote, is among the most corrupt and valueless in the world. Only a second American Revolution will change this process, but - as Thomas Jefferson proclaimed: "Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty."
Until we get up off the sofa, put down the remote, and begin fighting to take our our country back, it will always be controlled by the 'corrupt few' who have set themselves up as a privileged royalty instead of assuming their positions as public servants. -RKO- 09/02/07

No. There are still some very honest and very concerned people in the government such as Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich and Russ Feingold. Paul Wellstone was another one. We could use more representatives like them. It's the other representatives that are corrupt. They are voted into office by the people but only answer to and represent the corporate monied interests in Washington D.C.

No because there are still some good people in there like Ron Paul and Kucinich. Except the corrupt are usually the ones in power.

Most of the people in government -- yes I agree with that.
For instance, all of them know that there is NO law that requires anyone to pay income tax, but 98% of them do nothing to end this abominal practice of indebting the country to the Federal Reserve Bank!
I have read where JFK was going to end this and that's why he was murdered!!
