Basalt is an extrusive igneous rock. By definition, extrusives have small crystals and finer grained textures because they cool much more rapidly than intrusives. Extrusives don't have time to cool slowly to make large crystals.

No, but what you think are big, might not be. For some reason women have problems accurately guaging there own attractiveness. I constantly hear beautiful women saying they need to lose weight, get bigger boobs, etc. On the other hand there are lots of horrendously obese women who are convinced they are just gorgeous and have to show off their gorgeousness by wearing the skimpiest thing they and stuff themselves into. If you are worried, don't change your diet but start doing elliptical, jogging or swimming. If your thighs are actually big, those exercises will slim and tone them. If not they will still make you legs look better.
