HOLY CRAP! Do NOT use nail polish remover. The fiberglass shell is made up of polymers, glass and gel coat. The nail polish remover is acetone, which is a solvent for everything but the glass. It will destroy the sheen of the gel coat.
WD-40 works great for just about every adhesive. Citrisolve will do what wd-40 will not. BTW, just a bit of trivia, WD-40 is essentially kerosene that has been modified with scent masking chemicals.

Go to the hardware store and get a can of "100% Silicone Spray" apply, the silicone will break down the adhesive (Quickly), just wipe off, that's it, ya done. Silicone will NOT hurt anything, leaves it water resistant too....
"WD-40" is silcone and oil mixed together, and will stain many things, "100% pure silicone" spray will NOT ! it also removes adhesives from fabric without staining.

i'm no longer asserting it rather is the appropriate answer for you, yet my printer is hooked as much as a front USB port on the laptop and that i many times do away with the lead while i want to plug in a pendrive etc. In 5 years, doing this has in no way brought about any problems. i've got grew to become the printer off on the unit yet in no way unplugged it from the wall. assume it may be extra appropriate to try this to be on the risk-free area, yet i think of it may be demanding to try this every time and as I stated, its in no way brought about any problems for me :)

Use a product called "Goo Gone" or "Citra-Solv". They both work great.
