As another poster suggested, stop caffeine or at least avoid after pm. Also, watch your chocolate intake.
You could try to set up a routine to start winding down 1 hour before you would like to get to sleep. Take a bubble bath and then try a cup of chamomile or any decaf tea you like. Then make sure the temperature in your bed room is comfortable for you. I have a couple of relaxation cd's which I put on when I go to bed. I have one with delta waves which helps with relaxation. I also have foam earplugs and a sleep mask. Normally the earplugs fall out while I am sleeping, so you don't have to worry about missing the alarm.
You could try this routine every night for at least a week and see if it works. You can also try reading something light while listening to a relaxation tape.
Do not try to pay bills or work on paperwork in bed. Try not to sit and fold laundry on the bed. If you haven't heard the saying, your bed should be for sleeping and sex only.
If you are still having trouble sleeping, call your doctor. Not getting enough rest or restorative rest can really be bad for your health in the long run, not to mention that we all need our beauty sleep!
Take care!

I have the same problem but my work schedule is all whacked out. Try to go to bed at the same time every night, and get up at the same time every morning. No caffeine several hours before you go to bed. Warm bath or shower will help to relax you. No TV and such in the bedroom.
Good Luck
