Lightning does *not* travel at the speed of light, but is much faster than a bullet. It is an electron avalanche process (where one electron hits an atom and ejects more than one electron, on average, while accelerating in an electric field). It's conceptually similar to a snow avalanche (where snow dislodges more snow while falling downhill). Electrons have mass, so they travel slower than the speed of light.

Well, let's see about this shall we, Depending on the size and range of a bullet it still can only travel a certain amount of distance before it's energy is spent.
Lightning on the other hand is a lot more lethal and FASTER than a speeding bullet.
Lightening is produced and distributed in a way that the odds of living through it are astromnomical.

Lightning is fr faster than the speed of a bullet. One approaches the spped of light, 670 million miles per second. The bullet has a velocity, depending on the gun and the powder charge pushing the bullet, of a mile per second or somehwere around 3,600 miles per hour. large difference here.

the speed of light is too faster than the speed of bullet, the bullet is almost had the speed f sound, and the speed of the sound is 344 m/s (1238 km/h, or 769 mph, or 1128 ft/s),but the light speed is 299,792,458 metres per second (1,079,252,848.8 km/h),that's why when you see the thunder you 1st see the light, then after some times you hear the voice.
