Harold Lloyd used to be on BBC2 at about 6 o'clock on weeknights when I was a kid. Loved his shows. Buster Keaton was a pioneer in that comedy genre, but Harold is definitely my favourite. Apart from of course, Laurel and Hardy, who are the masters of visual comedy.

Buster Keaton...keep watching more of him... the film industry ruined him. There was a special on him on Turner Classic Movies just the past week.

I guess I prefer Buster Keaton for his ability to use subtlety to get the gags to work. Both were great actors. I was watching some of The General yesterday. Good stuff.

Harold Lloyd. You can only admire a guy who did all those stunts, more remarkable was the fact that he didn't have the use of the thumb and index finger of his right hand due to an earlier accident.
When you see him doing all those stunts he's wearing a prosthetic glove to make it look like he had a complete hand.
