I have a 03 Pontiac Grand Am 2.2 SE. My fuel pump went out and I replaced the pump and filter. A day later the check engine light came on. I had it checked with a Snapon Scanner and it read low fuel mixture on bank 1 for 23 seconds. The guy cleared it and the light went off. 2 days later (this morning) it came back on again. What could be the possible problem? How do I fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

it still could be an o2 sensor problem the tech should watch the o2 data w/scan tool to verify its working ,and check fuel filter for restriction, this will cause a lean code ,

when you have your car repaired with fuel suspension or exhaust you need to let the vehicle have break in time. The codes your are getting may be the filter is not sending enough fuel due to being a new one. Figure it this way. If you have a coffee pot with out a filter the water runs quick. When you put the filter in the water runs slow. In your case you have a new filter therefore things are running slow for now. Give your car a month before you worry about it. The light can be reset by disconnecting your neg post on your battery and waiting 5 min before hooking it up again...good luck...

Sounds like a vacuum leak sucking raw air into the engines intake system.

Look and listen for a vacuum line that may have come off the engine somewhere.

Try this....remove the neg battery cable for one hour. This allows the computer to shut down and resets it. The guy with the scanner should have known that
