This is for the likes of Scarymary, Sam J and Sam C, not ALL pro McCann people though you may answer if you wish to do so.
Why are you all so bothered about the McCann questions and answers?
I can understand if it's abusive or just plain sick but most of the reasonable questions and answers get deleted too.
What is it that drives you to cut and paste answers or abuse people for having an opinion?
It's not your battle to fight so why are you fighting it?

Hasbeen - yes some of the questions are bad, but then so are some of the pro mccann ones, like when they call the anti's scum, worms, peadophiles etc - it goes both ways

its just that the anti mccann questions are so very very bad a lot of the time. I'm not pro or anti and i never report a bad question but the amount of discussion, obsession, judgements and abuse that goes on toward this family - WHOM NONE OF YOU HAVE EVER ACTUALLY MET! makes me feel very sad. I for one am watching the case and will wait and see what happens, rather than ridiculous obsessive speculation.

I believe it bothers them due to feeling empathy towards the McCann's just looking at it as they are parents who lost their child. On the other side with the people that don't support them due to the neglect and is why their child is missing, are obviously a little more Callas towards the McCann's. Though when a topic such as this gets heated (as it has on here) I think because the people who are empathic towards the McCanns make it personal (hence the deleting answers/questions, reporting, etc), because they think with their heart so to speak. Like my mother used to say to me, "don't wear your heart on your sleeve". When you feel too much you can loose sight of what the issue at hand is therefore when debating, if logic is dropped for feeling, it becomes too personal. That is why they are so bothered about the q/a with the McCanns'. That's just my take.
Helen o, no offence taken, though the poster wasn't referring to the people who are posting malicious words she was asking about just general questions that were not out of line, and that is why I didn't comment on people who were out of line. I have had answers deleted that are not out of line on the issue, in fact just had one yesterday deleted out of the fact someone didn't like my opinion. I am not malicious in my answers and it was uncalled for, that is what the poster if talking about.

For me it is about responding to what I see as a continuing hate campaign.
If the Armchair Sherlock's can speculate, accuse and make totally unfounded accusations then presumably I have the right to respond.
You talk about it not being our battle to fight.
Then neither is it for the anti McCanns to post there vile filth, the thing the McCanns are guilty of is making a massive error in judgement in leaving the children alone.
No one on this site, repeat NO ONE has any proof of anything else.
There have been no charges brought against them, no evidence of there involvement in the abduction or of mis-appropriation of the fund.
But still the hate campaign rolls on regardless of being totally without a shred of evidence.
What I can not understand is what do you think it achieves, it will not make a shred of difference to anyone because I doubt if anyone outside of this site is in anyway interested or influenced by our comments either way.
EDIT .
I see Shambo the sick is on his fav subject of child abuse. That is all he seems to talk about. I wonder why ?

I don't think the antis are really anti McCann, I think they've just found an issue others share and it has become like a club - you're in it if you can think of another question about the Mcs etc. The more bizarre questions are also part of a competition.
The pros have also become galvanized in being pro - it's another club -
I answer some questions and not others. Nobody has to answer or even read stuff they know from the headline is going to wind them up.
Helen O: Is it? Sorry. I just think there are very particular groups of people who are either anti or pro.

I am not on your list but I will answer if you don't mind.
I don't mind a debate. I can relate to that. I have never reported anyone for having a different opinion from me. I can understand the annoyance in some people because they left the kids in the appartment alone.
I can't stand the hatred. I can't understand how anyone can hate someone they don't know. I can't understand what drives people to write vile and abusive remarks about people they don't know. It is beyond my comprehension to understand why there is SO MUCH hatred and tunnel vision on this one subject and family. It is not in my nature to hate someone that much without reason.
What drives me.
I guess I have always been one of these people who would stick up for the underdog. I can't stand to see people bullied for no other reason than joining the pack.
I feel for this couple, for anyone who has lost a child. especially under these circumstances. Because they have no-one to mourn. Their child is missing. Because I know how I would feel if this happened to me. It would rip my heart out.
Well debated Jack H. This I can relate to.
I cannot however relate to the nasty comments that others make . There is absolutely no need for the venom in some of their answers to make a point.
Just read your addin Carr52. Tell me how can hurling insults, idiotic comments and inuendo's get justice for Maddie. Don't we have to find her first.
Toitmoi.............I so agree with you. Where are there valid questions there that would help find maddie. They are very sick people who right this sort of post.
Dr Watson I think you could have used a better choice of words other than clubs and competitions. A bit inappropriate isn't it.
Dr Watson....No offence taken. :))
ToitMoi...I appreciate your disgust. but I think I will refrain from takingh another look myself as i was sickened enough the first time round. However, your links serves, to let others see what we are talking about and why we are so disgusted by it. If they have not already seen them by now.
Zail....With no disrespect, I think you are living in a different world from me if you can't see the difference between an opinion and a down right cruel and vicious remark, as some that have come up with on here.
Hi Zail. It is not only the poster who can have answers deleted. I think there are just some people out to cause mischief. Say no more.............
I too have had replies deleted and have asked Y/A to explain why, as there was nothing wrong with the reply. I am still waiting on an answer from them.
So much for their Clause " if you feel you have been treated unfairly. Please send an email to Y/A. Which I did. LOL!

hmmm, I was going to write a thoughtful reply until I read the answer stating the 'we want justice for Madeliene' considering the most venemous and spiteful and aggressive posts that i ever saw on here were directed at another member and her child, and they were written by these same people claiming they wanted 'justice for Madeleine'
I think too many of these people just want a fight to be honest and it has nothing at all to do with justice or Madeleine, it's mob mentality. Probably written and encouraged along by a sad bunch of misfits who have no life outside and sit in front of their computers 24/7 wishing they were hard and tough, and then finding out they can 'pretend' to be hard and tough with the added bonus of anonymity thrown in. So they get to act out fantasies, and say and do all the things they've never dared to say and do, and there's no consequences for anything they choose to say either so it's even better for them.
It's no-one's battle to fight. None of us know the McCanns, none of this has any personal impact on our lives. Any justice to be meted out or not, is not going to be in the domain of Yahoo Answerers so let's do away with this 'justice' nonsense and just have people admit, they like the arguing that accompanies this ongoing event and the more people they can hurt in the name of 'justice' the better, because attaching the word 'justice' negates any responsibilty for personal attacks and accusations.
here endeth the sermon for this sabbath

I think the big difference is...
that the 'Anti's display anger at the parents for not admitting at least some responsibility and feel duped that the loss of a child has been used as a media circus it seems not as a way to find the child but as a way to promote the parents. Even now Kate and Gerry are not sueing the Portugese press for anything said regarding their lost daughter but for what has been said about them.
The Pro-McCanns feel very hurt by the whole situation. They want the attention put on the missing child, and probably privately feel utterly embarressed by the actions of the parents. They express this hurt though in the wrong way as in knee jerk comments that 'anti McCanns are paedo's or are in some way 'sick'. I dont believe they mean it, I think if just an expression of their frustration that attention is on the parents and not Madeleine.
But who is to blame. Certainly neither Anti or Pro McCann people on YA. It is the parents who decided to court the media in a circus. You play with fire you can easily get burnt by it and thats whats happened to the McCanns. Lets face it their PR is a disaster !

They are not trying to get justice for Madeleine. When do they actually discuss what they think happened on the evening or reported news? Rarely. Instead they go over the same points over and over again about their neglect and it turns into yet another opportunity to slag off the McCanns, and give each other the thumbs up for doing so. They ask questions which can't be answered like, why haven't they been prosecuted for neglect? No one can answer that question? So it turns into an opportunity to slag off the McCanns again, get the picture?
Madeleine has been long forgotten, this is personal now and it is about Gerry McCann.
"It's not your battle to fight so why are you fighting it? "
It's not the antis battle to fight either, if they choose to do so they will hear what people think of them and their campaign.

Because it is highly offensive to see people who are suffering being subjected to a hate campaign. Every argument is based on speculation, not fact. These are real people, who have lost a child. And yet some people feel free to post the most ridiculous comments, without shame or conscience.

Hi Carr
For some strange reason, the Anti's think they are the only ones that want justice for Madeleine!
Who wouldnt what it!
Yes they neglected their children by leaving them alone, I dont know of any pro McCanns who have not said this.
What 'pro' McCanns dont like is wild speculation, attacking them for being white British and middle class like it is a crime. The person who acutally abducted Madeleine is the one that we should ALL be baying for!.
I do not like, and I think I can say on the behalf of some pro McCann supporters is the lack of facts used in this unnecessary witch hunt which at some times is way way over the top!
I also wonder why you think that its only Anti McCanns who get their questions and answers removed, because that is really not the case at all. Sensible and reasonable questions from the Pro McCanns disappear just as fast as yours of that you can be sure!
It is also not the battle of the Antis, let the police do their job, bare in mind innocent until proven guilty with out all the slander that has gone with it on these boards.
