An Indian discovered that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the computer which can be named as "CON". This is something pretty cool...and unbelievable... At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn't answer why this happened!

For those of you using Windows, do the following:
1.) Open an empty notepad file
2.) Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes)
3.) Save it as whatever you want.
4.) Close it, and re-open it.
is it just a really weird bug? :-??

Open Microsoft Word and type
=rand (200, 99)
and then press ENTER
then see the magic...............................

In case anyone's reading this far down, here's why CON can't be a folder or file in Windows.
Way back in prehistoric times (1983 or so), when MS-DOS was ruling the world and Windows wasn't even DOS based, there were several special filenames that really represented hardware. PRN and LPT1 were the printer. COM1 was a serial port. CON was the console -- the screen. So copying a file to CON copied it to the screen. Allowing a file or directory named CON was therefore a no-no.
For some reason, maybe for backward consistency, this has been carried forward to this day.
And I don't believe for a nano-second those claims that the "whole Microsoft team" couldn't explain those items. That's just hoax hypertalk.

2 and 3 I knew they dont require explanations,they are built in features, the 1st one I would also guess to be this but I couldnt even use a program called unlocker to change its name to con
but I bet I can make a con folder on linux than transfer it to my windows partition(I'll try it later and see what happens

the reason the =rand (200,99) gives you like a million pages of one sentence is because it is a check to see if all the letters work. did you notice that "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" contains every letter of the english alphabet?
