Car type: 99 Accord 4 cylinder
My car has shut off three seperate times while I have been driving it.
The problem only takes place in the afternoon after the car has been in the sun. It only happens if I turn my AC to 3. It does not happen when the weather is cool or moderate.
I hope it's just a belt.

In addition to the information I originally gave, the first time the car turn off, I placed it in gear (reverse) and a split second later the car turned off. The next two times, I was travelling over 40mph and it just shut down.
I then flipped the car into neutral and restarted it.

AC will load your engine, that's why mileage goes down when you run it. If it only shuts off as you said when at idle and it did not before, a tuneup should help and the belt can be checked also. If it is a belt problem you should hear it squeal when the system is loaded (usually happens when starting). I am not sure if the same belt drives everything or your car has more than one belt to turn the different components.

everybody is speaking approximately gasoline intake, homestead windows up or down, and aerodynamics; if that is warm, all of us prefer to apply our air con. working an a/c is artwork; artwork takes potential; sure, perhaps below the previous a/c gadgets from the 60's and 70's yet nevertheless that is artwork for the motor. not something is loose; sure the lights fixtures use potential too, how approximately that communicate? i be conscious of the alternator is making the mild yet what do you think of is turning the alternator? And although you won't be conscious of it, greater load on an alternator makes it harder to teach. guess what's turning it; the motor; not something is loose. plenty greater importantly is making particular your vehicle temperature can manage the further rigidity of working the a/c in the process the very heat climate. gasoline isn't low cost, neither is rebuilding the right end of your motor when you consider which you overheated it with the further rigidity of working the a/c. A/C on, watch the temp gauge heavily, if it climbs too plenty, turn it off, if it does not, leave it on and be cool, even for some greater cents.

Sounds like a heat related issue with ignition.
With the A/C on it creates more heat, and added engine load.
