1. Lou Holtz said ND would win 10 games this year.
2. Lou Holtz said Chad Henne would win the Heisman.
3. All the SEC homers said Tenn. will beat Cal because Tenn. is in the SEC and Cal is in the Pac-10.
Can anyone add anything to this list, any other b.s. that was out there before the season and has been shot down, debunked and exposed already?

Dethklok.. you're right that SEC homers shouldn't assume anything, but they did, I can't remember how many posts I say on YA saying that there is no way Cal, playing in the Pac-10, could hang with a ranked SEC team.

Simone- I definitely not a Pac-10 person, I like the Big XII, but are you suggesting that Cal would lose to Alabama, an unranked team, and Auburn, a team ranked lower than Tenn, who almost lost to an unranked K-State team yesterday. I will admit that Florida and LSU probably would beat Cal.

Beldin- I agree, but I think it is a little early to count them out, as much as I hate to say it, they will improve. But OU might reclaim their place as Red River champs this year.

Korey- No one ever said App. State wasn't a good team, so therefore, not a debunked myth, disproven lie, or misconception.

SEC homers shouldn't assume that Tennessee automatically wins because they're from that conference. Cal's a good team and played a great game against the 3rd to 5th best team(depending on how ya rank 'em) in the SEC. Excellent start for Cal's season and a boost for the Pac-10. Lou Holtz is a crazy old man, I laughed when he said that about ND after looking at their tough schedule.

You're using Lou Holtz as your "popular myth" maker? No One but him believed any of that stuff. Michigan was never a title contender BECAUSE of Henne. How bad is Lloyd Carr? he started Henne, but wouldn't start Tom Brady. How's that for a legacy.

your top one isn't any secret. he'd pick ND or even south carolina against any team in the nation.. even USC.. as a commentator you have to be unbiased, but he'd never pick against his schools, and he'll always find some nonsense to back it up...
