"....The nationalist Swiss People's Party is proposing a deportation policy that anti-racism campaigners say evokes Nazi-era practices. Under the plan, entire families would be expelled if their children are convicted of a violent crime, drug offenses or benefits fraud...."

I like how the article kind of mystifies whether they are talking about all citizens or immigrants until deeper in the story. Typical media bullcrap knowing most people would only read the first few lines. This is one of those ideas that would be fantastic and TOTALLY undoable. Our ICE can't even keep track of the illegals they round up the first time and then let go when they promise to "show up"for court. ICE doesn't even have a handle on getting criminal illegals off the street now, I doubt they could round up whole families.
Nice idea but Switzerland is probably smaller than most of our big cities. This immigration problem hasn't got any chance if you know where of being solved without complete border security. Our Congress with it;s stellar 18% approval rating can't even agree on something as simple as a secure fence. If we ever get that then the hard decisions come, cause let;s face it, we will never be able to mass deport well over 12 million people. And to a certain extent the premise that they do jobs Americans won't is a logical argument. But it is ALL a moot point without stopping the flow first.

Sounds fair as long as they are not citizens. Visa holders, illegals and those without citizenship should be held to a higher standard. We have a right to choose who stays in the country. Families would police each other to avoid deportation.

So, essentially, you want to punish people for something they did not do.

Very nice.

Cookies - Of course parents are responsible for how they raise their kids. But that doesn't mean they are responsible for every action the kids take on their own? The kids are (last time I checked, anyway) people, not robots who can be programmed. If one of your kids knocked over a liquor store (God forbid), should you go to jail along with your kid?
